Liiift strives to be a good citizen on your iPhone. That includes minimum data collection on our end, and a promise that user data always belong to the user. As a summary:

Your Data

“Your data” are things you create within Liiift, such as your workout history, workout plans, and customizations you make in the app.

Your data are stored locally on the device and—if iCloud is enabled—synced with iCloud. You own your data. There is no 3rd party server that stores your data.

We the developer cannot see your data unless you explicitly share them via iCloud.

Data Portability

You can always export your data. The exported file is in an uncompressed ZIP file, containing one export.json file that describes the structure of the data. You may import data with the exported ZIP file.

Data exporting and importing are features that shall remain forever free.

Purchase Data

Liiift utilizes RevenueCat to check for in-app purchase records and validate them with the App Store. RevenueCat generates a random device ID that it uses, and may tie this ID to App Store receipts. We may therefore know that two RevenueCat IDs belong to the same user (the same user is identified by the same anonymous identifier, not your Apple ID email per se). Usage of RevenueCat is required for the app’s functionality.

Analytics Data

Google Analytics is utilized to collect statistical information on how users use the app. The data we collect have no personally identifiable data, and have nothing that you input such as workout name, exercise name, etc.

We see your personal data as a liability, not an asset. We have no interest in knowing them.

Using Photo Library

There are two features in Liiift that needs access to your iOS Photo Library:

Workout Photos — Liiift can find and display photos you took during (and shortly after the end of) a workout. The photos are not saved to the app. To manage photos, use the iOS Photos app. This feature needs full read access to provide a seamless experience.

Share Your Workout — Liiift can generate a “screenshot” summary of your workout. You have the option to save the generated image to your iOS Photo Library, among many other options to share that image. Liiift needs write access to your Photo Library to save the image.
